A project with an unlimited budget...

I would, without any hesitation, open up a gigantic aquarium for Calgary.
I would create the most luxurious exhibitions for the most gorgeous exotic sea life.
I mean, if you're going to be shoved above natural sea level, you might as well look and feel great.

If I had unlimited budget

I would take all the time to make myself into an art piece. Learn; violin, Korean, how to sing ,and take yoga and enjoy life. Buy lots of wine and delicious food (especially cheese's) :D

If I had all the money in the world...

I'd party with Mariah.

The Martian Project

When I was a little girl I had this grand idea to build a waterslide that would be attached to the moon and the earth. You could go up to the moon in a spaceship and ride the waterslide all the way down to your home country, or you could choose to stop at various space ports along the way.

Because I was interested in the idea of traveling through space, and because I was obviously not concerned with the reality of physics and gravity, I think that a project with an unlimited fund would have to take on a similar disregard for the rules. Something really wild would be to terraform a planet such as mars. I would take over the whole planet to set up an animation and film arts studio just for me and the artists that I would choose to work with. There, on mars, we could work to shoot and animate a film that would be about the earth, reflecting all the problems and challenges that we face today. The studio would have the most powerful still and video cameras in the world, as well as the most expensive animation and editing software. It would be one of those pieces of video that the whole world watches, like the moon landings, and hopefully it would have a powerful effect on large corporations and make them realize that they are killing the planet. The film would offer new and inventive ways of possibly redesigning society so that there would be no religion, as well as harnessing the energy from surrounding bodies in the galaxy to provide enough energy to solve problems of consumption.

Back to the waterslide idea, the tunnel would be made of a transparent material so you could see space zooming by as you made your way down to earth. The tunnel would be full of spins, turns and loops. The water would be maintained at the perfect temperature and there would be those little glow in the dark stars stickers on the inside, too.

Money mwhahah

If i had all the money in the world to do something i`d be a virtul game set by haveing moving flours, (have people where armor like lazer tag) , lazer projections (to read and out put data) (fog machine too) now inside the armor can be a rumble pack and electice pain shockers for death. As for the game id make it run off, of a normale game system so just pop in any old game. Sine the armor takes the place of a control and the lazer take the place of a tv.

I'f I had unlimited budget

If I had unlimited budget, I'd find a way to cure old age, for my self only, and I'm curious to see what would happen 1000 years from now and beyond; I want to witness the point when the human race dies out, when the earth becomes rejuvinated and when it dies out (ofcource I'll live cos' by then I would have a made I biosphere for myself), when the sun desintigrates and I would discover other planets to inhabit; I want to travel the universe with my FTL biosphere and see the wonders. And so forth.

It's still Friday...

With unlimited funds, I think I'd have to create a huge music/outdoor installation piece. I'd like to have a huge, hilly field full of lights. Like the lights in this Battles video, but with at least a couple hundred of them, and scattered throughout an enormous area - . I'd have a bunch of instrumental musicians play (including Battles!). Probably rig it up somewhere where there could be northern lights. I think also there would be satellites flying over. Also body paint. Lots of body paint.

Unlitmited

If I had all the money in the world to do a project, I would definitely create a feature film based on a true story of a boy who passes away. This movie would explore the death that lives in all of us, and ways we're supposed to deal with such things and the way that it affects everyone in a different way. It is a story close to my heart, and I feel that it needs to be shared because we all have a story that could relate to it.

maybe i dont really wanna know how your garden grows

i would find a way to live forever because i am terrified of dying. what if everything just goes black, but youre still conscious? just stuck in an eternity of black nothingness. that would be shit.

i would also create my own self sustaining island so i could live forever in peace without having to deal with people.

Ramstein do childrens album

If I had unlimited money, I would pay german metal band Ramstein to make a childrens album. They wouldn't change there sound or style, but they would sing about rainbows and unicorns. I think that it would be fascinating and entertaining. I would design the albums and go on tour with Ramstein. It would be entertainng to watch the band do balloon animals instead of pyrotechnics, and have a mosh pit for the little ones. All proceeds from the album of course would go to systic fibroses.

Short, Simple, To the point.

What would I do if I had an unlimited budget to do anything I wanted with a project?

I'd likely start to produce my own stop still animation film idea, and bring my revolving and buzzing ideas in my head to life. I'd hire a small crew and rent out studio space, possibly even get my on animation studio space, with all the necessary cameras and other equipment needed.

I'd hire people in every department to help me bring my idea to life, from script writers to puppeteers, anything that I'd need to create a visual masterpiece. The whole crew and I would have pizza parties, laser tag or paintball every week to have fun in-between work.

you could do anything, in the universe!

Question

is commiting fraud and slander an effective way to prove a point?

Inquiry...

I wonder how so many professional brains overlooked the Yes Men's antics, without even the blink of an eye.
Do you think that, after a certain point, anyone in any profession becomes less immersed in their own interests?
Perhaps yes, however those fresh or maybe just always attentive are the ones who should be listening. Personally, I think it's great that the younger generation of audiences picked up on what was wrong with the presentations. After all, the younger generation is going to be in charge of the globe's issues in the next few decades.
Do you think we just wait to see how bad problems can get before we try and fix them?

Preaching to the choir, maybe?

Is the Yes Men's approach to spread their message about environmental and economic issues effective? They did manage to get a very strong reaction from students, but do you think that they have been successful in swaying the minds of the corporate/upper class?

Quesrion

isn't there some truth to the golden suit? what if it really was implemented in the workplace, would it impact the workplace positively with greater efficiency? What is so bad about that Golden suit anyways, despite the fact that it looked outragious? I thought it was a brand idea.

question(s) inspired by yesmen

the yes men exposed the corrupting nature of large corporations in a humorous way, but how humorous can we be about a situation where the world seems to represent france before the french revolution? has anyone seen who killed the electric car?
how can we eliminate the abusive power of corporations without totally re-designing western society?

it's a really tough call to make considering globalization has both positive and negative effects.

My Question:

Would You, as an individual, be willing to give up some of the luxuries in your life (make less money, etc) so the wealth of the world would be more equally distributed?

The Question

We constantly get reminded how developed countries (UNITED STATES for the "Yes Men" movie purpose) play a big role in exploiting poor countries. As in the YES MEN, it was pointed out how developing countries are still in same conditions as they were many years ago and developed countries like USA are only progressing. Hence, I would like to know how you guys feel about United States exploiting the Developing countries?
Although its disgusting and kind of offensive(mostly the way they animated) isnt recycling all our resources including fecal matter good?

Immorel Ambiguity

Do you think that the employers and c.e.o.'s of the big corporations that the Yes Men visit realize that they are being mocked, or do they think that the Yes Men believe in what they are preaching?

A2

What wing of the politics spectrum would you consider them to be? (I.E yes men)

Question- Jus'throwing it out there.

Do you think that ultimately poking fun and using a satirical approach to politics actually affects the inner workings of the establishment/ government? Considering it's all about power and money, how do you feel that the yesmen actually penetrate this seemingly impermeable structure of politics?

The Question:

I'm wondering if anyone thinks through seeing a few people change something so drastically through action, having fun with it, if it inspired anyone to do something different realizing that big change is possible through even the smallest of actions?

BLOG ASSIGNMENT 2!!

by 3 pm post a question to the class blog

the question should be a thoughtful one regarding some aspect of the movie we watched this morning. it could be about their art, their politics, or their humor, for example..

our blog of course is here:

from 3PM to 5PM choose 2 of your peers questions to answer, also thoughtfully, and brilliantly

Explanations:

Once upon a time, in a creative land known as Twizzeeopia, there lived a small black fly named Static Frankinscence.

Static decided on a bright and sunny Monday morning that he would meet up with his Bar Fly buddies for a nice cup of coffee at the Lucky Lucs Cafe to heal their hangovers. Poor little Static drank too much, so he felt like he had Pneumonia with the nauseating feeling on top of that. Feeling stressed out he flew endless meters towards the little Cafe, and stopped to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Exiting the gas station with his purchase, he scanned around to notice the Killer Bees, a gang that was the toughest of the tough in town. The reactions of the Killer Bees when they noticed Static was like an electric storm, for Static still owed a couple of them money.

Static flew as fast as his wings could carry him to the cafe, as the group followed him like a blaze of firing meteors plummeting to their target through an unforeseen force of speed.

When Static barged into the cafe, his Bar Fly Buddies brains were slow to react, confused at the sudden commotion happening around them as Static was thrown across tables into the wall.

The Killer Bees were focused on revenge, surrounding poor Static as he said with one last breath, "I wish you would all go away and stop bothering me!"

That was when Chicken Little ran screaming the sky was falling, and with his feet, squashed the trash that contained the little cafe, killing them all.

Static has learned a lesson that if you do not pay the prices you promised to, and blame others for giving you a hard time, you end up creating a theoretical hypocrisy and karma gets you.

The End!

Hello~

Here is a picture of some pretty cake.

This May be a stretch but hear me out here...

Okay so. I googled Barfly and the first thing that came up was a clip of Micky Rourke in the movie Barfly. Now, I have not even watched this trailer or seen the movie or whatever, but you know... Anyways, I'm connecting Barfly and Brainscan. Now this is a stretch, but...is it even possible to scan Micky Rourke's brain, can a scan actually get through that face of his?
